News

May 2025: The group has a very successful beam time at the SXASMAT beamline at DESY in cooperation with Dr. Rainer T. Lechner from the Technical University Leoben (Austria).

January 2025: We welcome Leif Erik Christoffer in the group, who has joined us as a Master student. Leif will work on the synthesis of semiconductor-gold hybrid nanoparticles.

December 2024: The German Research Council has granted funding for a pump-probe spectrometer for obtaining transient absorption and stimulated Raman spectra at a total worth of 485.000 EUR.

October 2024: We welcome Sajal Chaudhary in the group, who has joined us as a PhD student. Sajal will work on the topic of I-III-VI2 semiconductor nanoparticles.

July 2024: We welcome Lina Möllmann in the group, who has joined us as a PhD student. Lina will work on the topic of semiconductor-metal hybrid nanoparticles for photocatalysis.

June 2023: A new paper entitled Insensitive: Simulation of the NMR Experiment for Didactic Purposes has been published in Applied Magnetic Resonance. It details the development of our NMR simulation software since its first publication in 2011. Insensitive is now available from GitHub. More Information is available on the website under the Software section.

May 2023: We congratulate Dr. Danja Fischli, who defended her PhD thesis with distinction (summa cum laude) at the University of Konstanz! In her work she could show how semiconductor nanorods grow and how transition metal dopants can be incorporated into them with control over their spatial distribution.

October 2022: The group has moved to the Institute for Chemistry at the University of Rostock.
